The Parkside Gate Meeting took place last night at Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene. The meeting started with a discussion of the gate upgrade options offered by Ornamental Gate. A representative from the company came out to answer questions about the upgrade options. Then a representative from the Coeur d'Alene Place Homeowners' Association Board, Jim Frank addressed the meeting. Mr. Frank explained the structure of the Homeowners' Association and Parkside's place in that association. Then two Parkside residents each presented one side of the gate issue and the floor was opened to questions. At 8:30 the vote was taken in a show of hands, these totals were added to the absentee ballots that had already been received.

With a majority voting against closing the gate 24 hours 7 days a week the Coeur d'Alene Homeowners' Association Board has decided to honor the vote and leave the gate operating on the same plan as is already in place.

The Coeur d'Alene Place Homeowners' Association Board has decided to postpone the decision on the gate upgrade until after the condition of the current gate has been assessed and more information can be gathered regarding upgrade options.

Thank you for your time and your votes.
